Compliance Audit and Analysis |
Compliance manuals are part of a guidance for small practices that was issued by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the Dept. of Health and Human Services. The premise is that if you’re working hard to stay in compliance by training your team in compliance related matters, doing self-audits, and staying abreast of compliance policies, you’re less likely to knowingly commit what could be called fraud and abuse. Having an in-office compliance program is not hard to do. Getting it set up and operational is easy with the right systems. If you’re not performing self audits and documenting in your compliance manual, get help now!
- This service is performed based on the OIG recommendations in the small practice guidance. It includes a general review of any existing compliance manual in place and review of most recent audit. We’ll implement your compliance program if one does not exist, complete with compiling your compliance manual and performing baseline audit.
- Compliance reviews also include an analysis of all coding procedures and CMS-1500 review for compliance. Training for your internal audit procedures is also included.
- Compliance training for staff will be completed either onsite or remotely to assure that all team members are on the same page with the compliance requirements of your practice.
